Jolly Lovely is an independent buying-guide site about over-the-range microwaves, the kind that hangs above your cooktop and doubles as a vent hood.
We write for people replacing a tired unit or finishing a kitchen update. Our aim is simple: help you find a model that fits the space, vents the way your kitchen does and suits how you cook.
What we cover
Our guides cover over-the-range microwaves from brands like GE, BLACK+DECKER, Toshiba, Frigidaire, Midea, Kenmore and Samsung. We sort them by size, finish, fan power and budget.
We also explain the parts that confuse most shoppers. That means cabinet gaps, the space above the cooktop, outside versus recirculating vents, CFM numbers and filters.
How we work
We read the specs, the installation details and the maker's own information for every model we cover. We also look at what owners often report after living with one.
